Seeking an experienced Project Engineer (High Voltage/Electrical Engineering background) to work on the Electrical Isolation Improvement program within the Rail industry. This is initially a one year contract which is likely to extend mcuh longer.
This Project is one of the businesses top 15 projects of the next 3 years and will be responsible for the development and implementation of approx. 17 initiatives that have been identified to achieve significant safety and productivity gains for the industry through improvements in process, training and technology associated with the removal power from electrical assets required to carry out engineering works on the network.
The Project Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager in investigating and defining the problem faced by the business including mapping current processes, gathering business and technical requirements as the basis for solution identification and then identifying safe and efficient processes, including potential technologies, to be developed and implemented across all parties that manage complex power outage arrangements. 

Skills and experience required for the position are;

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (preferably Safety, Electrical, or Process) or equivalent experience. 
Demonstrated experience in problem and process analysis including application of Lean techniques to business and safety processes. 
Experience in process and system change projects including training documentation and systems. 
Experience in the delivery of projects of varying scope and size. 
Experience in Project Management including knowledge of the Project Management life cycle. 
Sound conceptual, research, planning, analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to apply them in the development of technical training solutions. 
Able to demonstrate high levels of communication, facilitation and influencing skills, including the ability to liaise at all levels. 
High level of computer literacy including the capacity to learn new technical skills and systems. 
Ability to plan, organise, prioritise and complete work within allocated timeframes, including the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
