Job Overview

This role sits with a leading government department based in the Sydney CBD for a 10 month initial contract with view for extension. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • You will manage assigned tender processes for predominately high value works (ICT, Construction and Facilities management) to the stage of contract award, ensuring that project objectives are met and there is compliance with all required policies and procedures, including probity. 
  • Deliver comprehensive category management for nominated categories including: developing and implementing a three year category plan, identifying and delivering savings and efficiencies, establishing KPIs and providing bi-annual updates/reporting. 
  • Maintain subject matter expertise on procurement related matters and category specific trends and leading practice. 
  • Maintain working relationships with key stakeholders within cluster entities and NSW Procurement to influence, drive and deliver required outcomes. 
  • Lead and deliver training and development of best practice procurement processes within team and key cluster stakeholders. 

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant area, or equivalent hands-on experience 
  • A successful track record in managing Construction (GC21) and ICT Services (Procure IT Framework v 3.1 / 3.2 ) tender process 
  • Category Management experience 
  • Analytical and negotiation skills 
  • Stakeholder management
